Bareroot Trees
Bareroot trees have been grown by Orange County Nursery, Inc. since its very inception over 120 years ago. In the early days we sought to address the needs of the growing Southern California market, with those varieties that has been popular for generations. Later, we added a few shade trees to the mix.
Today, we still grow the most popular fruit trees varieties, but our emphasis is predominately on a larger selection of shade trees. We are currently working overtime to fill the needs of our clients asking for trees to address an arid environment and to provide a greater supply of trees that do so.
We realize that most all bareroot trees do not go directly into the landscape, but into a container and then into the landscape. As such, we are diligently focusing on the needs of our customers and growing with the container in mind.
If you seek to put a shade tree into a five gallon container, we have the ½" or 5/8" caliper trees you need to produce a finished product. If the fifteen gallon product is what you are interested in, we can provide ¾" or 1" trees to suit your needs. The 24" box is the target for an increasing number of trees that we deliver bareroot. The return on one's investment is substantial.
Our fruit tree line has changed, too. We still have the most popular varieties, but we grow a greater number of them in smaller sizes. Sizes like ½" and 5/8" that fit better into a five gallon container.
Our selection of trees has increased for use in orchard production. Money making varieties of Persimmons, Pomegranates, Figs, Asian Pears and Jujubes are being grown in a broader selection and in larger numbers.
The best way to make or save money on bareroot trees from Orange County Nursery is to talk over your order with one of our qualified salespeople. We recommend which size tree will best meet your growing needs and in doing so, make you money.
