Bark is a beautiful shade of red and peels from the trunk in sheets each year. USDA: 7-9 Sunset: 4-7, 14-19
Arbutus unedo STRAWBERRY TREE
Strawberry Tree will keep your attention all year long with its interesting characteristics. This is an evergreen large shrub to medium size tree that reaches 20-25' high and has an equal spread. Urn-shaped, pink to white flowers appear in late fall and give way to "strawberries" that turn from green to red to yellow. Because of its slower growth this tree is a great choice for today's smaller properties. USDA: 7-9 Sunset: 4-24, 31
