Brachychiton populneus BOTTLE TREE
The great foliage of this tree shimmers and shines in the wind. This evergreen tree reaches heights of 40-50' and spreads up to 30'. Leaves measure 2-3 inches long, are bright, glossy green in color and are pointed at the tip. Trunk is swollen near the base and tapers up the tree. Small, bell shaped flowers appear in late spring. This tree forms a strong central leader requiring minimal pruning later in its life. USDA: 9-10 Sunset: 12-28
