Cercidium 'Desert Museum' DESERT MUSEUM PALO VERDE
This selection of Palo Verde is thorn-less. A deciduous Palo Verde by nature, this tree can reach 20' high with an equal spread in only 4-6 years. Large yellow blossoms occur in spring and last for a longer period than any other species. Tree may re-bloom in summer depending on conditions. This tree produces very few seedpods and little amounts of litter. USDA: 6-9 Sunset: 8-15, 18-20, 29

Cercidium floridum Blue Palo Verde
A tough tree valued for its bark, flowers and the shade it casts. This is a deciduous tree that grows fast to 35' tall and has a roughly equal spread. Leaves are very small and give way to yellow flowers in the early spring. Tree filters shade rather than completely blocking it. Tree can withstand poor soil and can exhibit drought tolerance once established. USDA: 8-9 Sunset: 8-14, 18-20, 29
