X Cupressocyparis leylandii Leyland Cypress
A great, strong windbreak that takes a wide variety of soils. This evergreen conifer can reach 60' high with a spread of 15', but may end up growing over 80' high. Leyland Cypress is a genus cross between Chamycyparis nootkatensis (Nootka Cypress) and Cupressus macrocarpa (Monterey Cypress). Tree has great pyramidal form and superb branching structure and foliage that has a slight gray cast. This tree is resistant to oak root fungus. USDA: 5-9 Sunset: 3-24, 28-34, 39
