Elaeagnus augustifolia RUSSIAN OLIVE
The Russian Olive is the toughest tree for areas with great temperature extremes. This is an evergreen tree that reaches a height and spread of 20'. Narrow blue green leaves measure 2-3 inches long. Small, fragrant yellow-green flowers appear in the summer and are followed by small, olive-like fruits. Trunk and branches are angular and are covered with a shredding dark brown bark.
