Melaleuca linariifolia PAPERBARK TREE
This tree has a soft, light texture that gives it a billowy appearance. Paperbark Tree is an evergreen tree that normally reaches 30' high with an equal spread. Needle-like leaves measure 1 inch long. Flowers appear in summer, are 1-2 inches in width and cover the branch tops. White bark peels off in sheets and adds interesting character. Melaleuca nesophila PINK MELALEUCA
The gnarled, trailing branches of this species spread out from trunk. An evergreen large shrub or small tree, this species grows to a perfect size of about 20' high with a similar width. Flowers are borne on ends of branches and appear pink in color then fade to white. Tree tolerates seacoast conditions, poor soil, and can exhibit drought tolerance once established. Melaleuca quinquenervia (leucadendra) CAJEPUT TREE
A very popular tree due to its flowers and bark characteristics. This is an evergreen tree that attains a height of 35' with a 20' spread, but may taller. Thick, spongy, cream colored bark peels off in sheets. Leaves measure 2-4 inches long and white flowers appear in summer and fall. Cajeput Tree does well when planted in seacoast conditions.
