Myrica cerifera SOUTHERN WAX MYRTLE
The Southern Wax Myrtle is a tough tree that can withstand a variety of growing conditions. This evergreen tree never reaches more than 25' high with a similar width. Foliage is gray-green in color and is aromatic when crushed. Fruits are yellow-green in color and covered with a wax used in candle making.
