Parkinsonia aculeata MEXICAN PALO VERDE
This is a small size tree with great leaves and bark that is perfect for a courtyard or patio. Mexican Palo Verde is a deciduous tree that never grows more than 30' high and wide. Compound pinnate leaves measure 8-10 inches long and filter sun rather than completely block it. Yellow flowers measure 4-6 inches long and appear in the spring, then intermittently throughout the year. Bark of this tree is bright green and is very showy. USDA: 8-11 Sunset: 8-29
