Prunus mume FLOWERING APRICOT
Beautiful double flowers make this tree a spectacle in the spring. The Flowering Apricot is a deciduous tree that generally grows to a height and width of 20'. Pointed leaves measure 2-4 inches long and are a light green color. The white to red flowers that bloom in the spring look like small Camellia blooms and measure 1-2 inches across. Bark is smooth and light brown in color with gray stippling. As far as our selections are concerned they fall into the flowering and flowering/fruiting. 'Rosemary Clark' - This selection has early blooming, double white flowers that have red calyxes.

' Ume ' White - This selection has pure white flowers with white calyxes. A small fruit follows the flower and is used for pickling and in Japanese cuisine.
Prunus persica FLOWERING PEACH
Beautiful blooms reward one with a show in the spring. This is a deciduous tree that can reach 15' high with an equal spread. Leaves measure 4-6 inches long and turn golden yellow to red in the fall. Bark is gray in color with warty bumps on the surface. Flowers occur in the spring and are colored various shades of white and red. As far as our selections are concerned they fall into the flowering and flowering/fruiting. The latter producing not only beautiful flowers, but fruit as well. 'Amanogawa' - This selection is a columnar tree that can reach 25-30' high with a spread of 5-7'. Flowers are semi-double and light pink in color with slightly darker petal margins.
'Beni Hoshi' - A fast growing selection with an arching branching patter. Bright pink flowers are single, have slightly angular petals, and hang below the branches.
'Kwanzan' - This selection has straight, upright branches and rose colored, single flowers.
'Mt. Fuji' ('Shirotae') - This selection has strong horizontal branching, and semi-double blooms that open white then mature to a light pink.
'Pink Cloud' - A selection that was discovered in Southern California at Huntington Botanic Gardens. Tree takes on rounded, slightly weeping form. Flowers are single and pink in color. This is the best selection for warmer climates
' Taiwan ' - This selection is an early blooming tree with purple to pink colored blooms. A good choice for warmer climates

The beautiful flowers and weeping form fit well into any garden. This is a deciduous tree that can reach 10' high with an equal spread.
