Douglas Fir is a great western native that has been popularized by its use in the cut Christmas tree market. This evergreen conifer attains massive heights of 80-160' tall with a spread near 30'. Needles measure 1-2 inches long and are slightly blue-green in color. The ends of the branches turn up giving them a unique appearance. This tree will tolerate wind and any soils but those saturated with water. Tree is resistant to oak root fungus. USDA: 5-6 Sunset: 1-10, 14-17
